The Italian Stress Network is a non-profit association carrying out activities of social utility (promotion) with the aim to advance our knowledge in the field of stress, by fostering collaborations among scientists and clinicians, increasing public awareness to show the importance of fundamental and applied research to funding agencies, the government, and citizens.​

The Network comprises:​

Founding members

Full members: group leaders of Italian academic/research institutions who have demonstrated their leadership in stress-related research, which includes coordinating grants and playing a pivotal role in scientific publications.

Associate Members: Principal Investigators (PIs) who mainly concentrate on different fields yet participate in stress-related research as well as researchers with permanent positions who are actively working on stress but have not attained group leader status.

Junior Researchers: non-permanent staff person working in the field of stress at an Italian academic/research institution.

Non-institutional partners: non-academic/research institutions/associations with an interest in the goals of the association.
