#10 Mediterranean Neuroscience Society Meeting
Address
Chania, Crete, Greece
When
June 8th from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
The Italian Stress Network (ISN) is pleased and deeply grateful for the opportunity to present this special event, considered a valuable contribution to the scientific and human dialogue within the Mediterranean neuroscience community.
This forum will explore the complex and multifaceted impact of stress within Mediterranean societies, considering the unique sociocultural, economic, and geopolitical factors that shape individuals’ experiences of stress across the region. Particular attention will be given to the ways in which gender and cultural background influence stress vulnerability, resilience, and access to support systems—both within academic and clinical settings. By fostering a multidisciplinary dialogue among neuroscientists, clinicians, early-career researchers, and policymakers, the event seeks to uncover structural and contextual barriers to inclusion and well-being. Ultimately, the goal is to identify actionable strategies that promote diversity, equity, and the development of supportive, inclusive career paths in neuroscience for individuals from all backgrounds.
