This event at the FENS Forum 2026 is organized by Prof. Miriam Melis (University of Cagliari) and Prof. Marcello Solinas (University of Poitiers). It unites the Italian (SINS) and French (SdN) neuroscience communities to foster collaborations through two thematic symposia on neurodevelopment and behaviour. It provides a key transnational networking platform to advance joint research. We are proud to launch this Special Issue, driven by the Italian Stress Network founders Prof. Riva and Prof. Campolongo: "Stress as a Key Vulnerability Element Across the Lifespan." Stemming directly from the First ISN Meeting, this special issue aims to bridge cross-disciplinary and translational research to explore how stress shapes brain function and systemic physiology from early development to aging. We invite contributions that uncover novel mechanisms of stress vulnerability and resilience.

#resilience2026 is taking shape. Under the motto DIFFERENT PEOPLE, DIFFERENT CONTEXTS, we will be discussing resilience in collective trauma, sex and gender differences, ethical and societal aspects of resilience research, and much more.
